New Volvo FM420 arrives at Ridgway Rentals
We are super excited to announce the arrival of our New Volvo FM420 to our haulage fleet.
It’s been a long time in the making with various stages of development, but with the help of Hartshorne Motor Services we have taken delivery of this fabulous new truck. With the arrival of our new Volvo FM 420, we can continue to deliver equipment to a wide variety of sites nationwide. This machine will help reach customers in some of the UKs more hard to reach places whist carrying a whopping 20 tons. The 4.2 litre Volvo produces 420 horse power so it can pull heavy loads with ease. It also comes fitted with a suite of safety systems for both the driver and other road users, this makes the Volvo FM 420 safer than most other vehicles on the road.
Jack Hulse from Hartshorne Motor Services took us around the truck to demonstrate the various systems.
Robert Jones, Director at Ridgway Rentals, deeply cares about driver and pedestrian safety and spent some time getting to know the safety systems on the truck. Jack Hulse from Hartshorne Motor Services was only too happy to show Rob around during the final delivery and inspection. Rob commented ‘these new trucks are some of safest vehicles on the roads these days’.

Plant Haulage & Transport
As well as moving our own machinery we also offer a nationwide plant haulage service.
Our plant haulage fleet ranges from 7.5 ton rigids up to a 100 ton articulated lorries and can transport all types of vehicles and plant machinery!
We have a full variety of transport equipment, including low loaders, step frames, fully equipped escort vehicles with experienced escort drivers to ensure your machinery is moved safely, legally and economically.
Machines include plant such as mini diggers up to 50 ton excavators, rollers, dumpers, loading shovels, telehandlers etc. We can also transport agricultural machinery and other heavy vehicles including HGVs.
